Registered Nurse - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Location: Clyde, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Overview

• Progressive Care Unit on the 4th floor
• 22 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1
• Equipment includes Telemetry
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
• Patient population: Adult cardiac patients including post cardiac cath lab, cardioversions, and cardiac observation
• Shift: PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Float requirements apply

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Ability to float to other units

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Care for adult cardiac patients in a progressive care setting
• Manage patients post cardiac catheterization and cardioversion
• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrate good communication skills and flexibility

Orientation & Additional Information

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Dress code: Navy scrubs; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops are not acceptable
