Occupational Therapist

Location: Monmouth, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist assists patients in restoring occupational function through evaluation and treatment. Responsibilities include:

• Examining and evaluating patients' occupational and functional status related to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary systems.
• Gathering information from patient charts, patients, families, or other sources as appropriate.
• Establishing therapy goals and formulating treatment plans consistent with those goals.
• Observing patients, documenting status, and assisting therapy techs and assistants in problem resolution.

The primary patient population focus is Orthopedics Outpatient, with occasional Neurology cases.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state Occupational Therapy license (Illinois).
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license for those providing Driving Evaluations.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and document accurately.
• Proficient computer skills for processing detailed information.
• Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Valid driver’s license.

Additional Information

• BLS Certification required.
• Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
• Call-off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty or pay obligation.
• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles.
