Job Opportunity: CT Technologist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (3 shifts per week)
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5-hour shifts)
- Work Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Room, Teaching Hospital
- Floating: Must be willing to float to different units as needed
- Equipment Experience: Siemens scanners
- X-Ray Procedure Experience: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax
- General Skills: IV start, use of contrast
- Holiday Work: Rotating holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Experience in Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Room, and Teaching Hospital settings
Certifications & Competencies
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA Instructor/Provider or RQI acceptable)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, and others as applicable per unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- Competency Exams:
- Unit-specific competency exams required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for applicable RNs (not applicable for CT Tech but noted for cross-discipline awareness)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Annual requirement
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Physician documentation within 1 year confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations:
- Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire annually in lieu of TB test renewal
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption requires documentation)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) with mask requirement if declined
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Dress Code and Hand Hygiene Policy: Must review and sign prior to start
- Confidential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Reporting: Required acknowledgment and annual training certificate
- Ethics and Compliance Policies: Annual review and acknowledgment required for new contracts
- Fingerprinting:
- Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start
- New fingerprinting required if break in service exceeds 90 days or prior results are older than 1 year
- Proof of fingerprinting completion required for subcontractors
- Pending Background Check Attestation: Must be completed if fingerprint results are pending at start
