Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Description

• Work on a 42-bed Heart Failure / Stroke Unit dedicated to patients with neurological and cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke.
• Unit is staffed with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and neurologists to provide expert care for complex neuro-cardiac patients.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Scheduled holidays as required and every other weekend.
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week, with 36 guaranteed hours.
• Patient-facing, clinical role.
• Facility uses Meditech EMR.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Parking available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

• Timesheet approver role included (primary and backup).
• Not a remote position.
• Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.

This position is ideal for nurses with solid Med Surg Telemetry experience who are comfortable managing complex cardiac and neurological patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
