Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Randallstown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit
• Unit Highlights:

  • Primary Stroke Center (Gold status with American Heart Association)
  • STEMI cases managed with catheterization intervention support
  • Two locked Behavioral Health units in the Emergency Department with 1:6 ratio, supported by ED staffing and security
  • Two rapid evaluation units for urgent and critical care needs with rapid medical screenings
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Accepts: First-time travel nurses

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Notes

• Labs and required health documentation must be completed by the Monday prior to the start date to ensure on-time onboarding.
• Stroke CEUs must be completed prior to or within one week after start; NIHSS counts toward stroke CEU hours if completed within the year.
• Trauma CEUs required after 27 weeks of work, typically at extension time, with annual renewal.
• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including attendance, floating, and time and attendance policies for contracted staff.
• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
