Technologist - Multi-Modality Radiology

Location: Windsor, Vermont

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide diagnostic radiographs and CT scans to outpatients, inpatients, and ER patients.
• Must be proficient and licensed in both CT and X-Ray specialties.
• Ability to function independently and proficiently.
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
• Work closely with radiologists by phone for exam interpretations.
• Facility uses Cerner EMR system.
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
• Facility is a 35-bed critical access community hospital with strong team dynamics in a small, close-knit community.
• Located near major cities and outdoor recreational areas.

Schedule

• Every other weekend required.
• Typical shifts include:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 10 hours (07:00–17:30)
  • Saturday & Sunday: 12 hours (08:00–20:30)
• Training schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30
  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday
  • Week 3: Sunday, Monday, Saturday

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years current CT/X-Ray technologist experience.
• Active ARRT (R) (CT) certification.
• Vermont Radiology License (or equivalent).
• IV start experience (must be noted on profile).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Skills checklists for Computed Tomography and X-Ray current within 1 year.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment.
• Travelers must provide permanent address at profile upload (facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility).
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of application; no more than 5 days allowed.
• Facility enforces a strict 3-strike call-off policy; call-offs must be communicated at least 1.5 hours in advance.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 6 months previous travel experience (highly preferred).
• Experience with Toshiba 80 Slice CT scanner (helpful but not required).
• Cerner EMR experience.

Additional Information

• Orientation includes 8 hours non-billable time.
• Facility emphasizes patient safety with dose reduction software and effective radiation monitoring during CT exams.
• Offers routine x-rays and fluoroscopic exams including barium studies, joint injections, arthrograms, and myelograms.
• Imaging exams are interpreted by board-certified radiologists with subspecialties.
• Facility includes inpatient medical-surgical beds, inpatient rehabilitation unit, therapeutic pool, physical therapy, acute care, transitional care, and hospice services.
