Description
Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) – Travel/Contract
Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 – 7:15)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Work on a busy Cardiac/Progressive Care Telemetry unit.
- Experience in Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required.
- Potential to float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units and ICU (lowest acuity patients).
- Must have recent Epic experience within the last 12 months (detailed on profile).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
- Telemetry experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Additional Information
- Locals accepted at the same rate.
- Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
- E-Verify and I9 documentation required.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
- TB screening required annually (negative PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot within 1 year; chest X-ray if past positive).
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.
- Skills checklist required as applicable to specialty.
