- 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
- Specializes in rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Patient population: Geriatric and adults
Position Details
- Department: Respiratory Therapy
- Role: Respiratory Therapist (RT)

- Shift: Days (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 32
- Weekend hours: Rotating
- Call requirements: None
- Float requirements: None
Patient Care & Work Environment
- RT expected to see all patients in-house daily
- Daily respiratory therapy notes and timely documentation required
- Common diagnoses treated: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Stroke, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), Heart transplant
- Equipment used: Stethoscope, pulse oximeter
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): Pinpoint & UDS
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience in suctioning, BiPAP/CPAP, cough assist
- Independent worker
- Inpatient rehabilitation and acute care experience preferred

- Scrub color: Green
- Parking: Must park in the back of the building (front lot reserved for visitors)
