Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Cades, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
- Shift: Days, Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (45 minutes per session)
- Weekend Requirement: No weekends
- On-call Requirement: No
- Floating: No floating between units or facilities required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
Facility & Work Environment
- Outpatient setting, not located on a hospital campus
- Charting system: Epic
- Free parking available
- Local radius for travel: 60 miles
- Locals are not accepted for this position
Important Notes
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September
- Candidates must complete required background checks, health screenings, and submit necessary documentation prior to start
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccinations are highly preferred but not required; declination form must be completed if not vaccinated
- Annual respirator clearance required for patient-facing roles
- Physical exam and immunization requirements include Tdap, TB testing, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, and drug screening
- Multiple facility-specific documents and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start, including HIPAA and confidentiality agreements
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references required
- Performance evaluation dated within 12 months of start required
- Employment application/resume required
- Background check including 7 years of history and international searches
- Education verification or diploma/transcripts as applicable
- State license primary source verification required
- Drug screen (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Annual TB questionnaire completion required
- Radiation badge may be required depending on assignment area (not required for outpatient PT)
Certifications to Maintain (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification as required by specific units (verify with recruiter)
Additional Information
- Candidates must complete orientation modules prior to start; failure to complete will result in being sent home
- Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
- Facility-specific COVID exemption form required for religious exemptions
- Flu vaccine documentation deadline: December 5th annually during flu season
- Respirator clearance questionnaire cost is $22 and must be completed before document due date
