Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit during night shifts.
• Must have recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 18 months (1.5 years) of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIHSS certification.

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross (or RQI).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross (or RQI).
• Pass/fail baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation required at orientation (not required for legacy candidates with less than 6-month gap between contracts).

Experience & References

• At least 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required.
• Two professional references from employment within the last year required (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).

Additional Requirements

• Complete facility-specific online onboarding and training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
• Photo for badge may be required.
• Employment application must include at least 3 years prior work history with 2 years in acute care in a similar area.
• Annual skills checklist required.

Notes

• Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
• Physical exam and eye exam do not need to be updated annually if currently on assignment without a break.
• Flu vaccine exemptions require agency approval and facility review.
• Candidates must comply with all health and safety documentation and immunization requirements.

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs licensed in Ohio or compact states, seeking a night shift travel contract in a hospital setting.
