Description
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy
Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in the Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy unit on the 2nd floor.
- Adult patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio.
- Unit includes 2 Endoscopy rooms and 1 Bronchoscopy room.
- Equipment used: Olympus; Electronic Health Record system: Cerner.
- Shift: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, 40 hours per week guaranteed.
- Call coverage approximately 10 days per month with a 30-minute response time; call cases include GI bleeds, foreign body removals, bronchoscopies (EBUS, Navigation).
- No float requirements, but may float to the OR.
- Allowed to leave after cases are completed daily.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
- Pulmonology experience
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Additional Information
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (scrub machine available).
- Call coverage involves mostly routine cases with some complex procedures as noted.
- Facility is a 355-bed hospital with multiple specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU.
- Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify.
