Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work in the Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy unit on the 2nd floor.
• Adult patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Unit includes 2 Endoscopy rooms and 1 Bronchoscopy room.
• Equipment used: Olympus; Electronic Health Record system: Cerner.
• Shift: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, 40 hours per week guaranteed.
• Call coverage approximately 10 days per month with a 30-minute response time; call cases include GI bleeds, foreign body removals, bronchoscopies (EBUS, Navigation).
• No float requirements, but may float to the OR.
• Allowed to leave after cases are completed daily.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
• Pulmonology experience
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Additional Information

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (scrub machine available).
• Call coverage involves mostly routine cases with some complex procedures as noted.
• Facility is a 355-bed hospital with multiple specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU.
• Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Trauma level: no designation.
• Weekend hours limited to call coverage only.
