Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location
- Columbus, Ohio

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Rotating day off
- Call requirements:
- One primary weekday and one backup weekday per month
- One weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary or backup)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records (preferably in EPIC)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific codes apply)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation confirmation required immediately after contract signing
- Proof of fingerprinting completion required (in-state and out-of-state candidates have specific instructions)
- Pending background check attestation allowed if fingerprint results are pending
- Annual background check required by agency (not necessarily by facility)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required annually
- Adult Tdap vaccination (not Td or DTaP)
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella; boosters required if low titer
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination accepted)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions require documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (new travelers cannot start with pending drug screen)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); decliners must wear a mask
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended; proof of primary vaccination collected if available
Competency and Training Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exams required prior to start
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required for RNs/LVNs
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for RNs (not applicable to certain excluded units or fully remote positions)
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required annually
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Background and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
