Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1
Unit & Patient Population
- Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, Alcohol Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR
- Equipment: Baxter pumps
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Medhost
- Trauma Level: III
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Call requirements: Yes
- Float requirements: Must float as primary RN to Intermediate Care Unit and as needed to ED holding for admitted patients
- Attendance policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
- Prior travel experience: Preferred but not required
- CVICU experience: A plus but not required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
