Description
Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT)
Location
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Primary shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Required to participate in emergency call every third week for 7 days
- Must be willing to float to different units/hospitals as needed
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Provide compassionate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Maintain standards of nursing practice and foster positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Support and encourage team members
- Main procedures involve open heart surgery; may assist in other surgical specialties when open heart cases are not scheduled
- Experience working in Operating Room or equivalent setting required
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Surgical Technologist experience
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)

- This is a patient-facing, clinical position
- Facility uses Meditech EMR system
- Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors
