Shift Details

• 3 or 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours
• On-call: typically 1 weekday shift per week and 1 weekend per month

Job Summary

• Perform angiography procedures including scrubbing, setting techniques, and imaging
• Assist as circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech following lab policies and scope of practice
• Operate interventional radiology (IR) equipment and related information systems to produce quality images
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address patient/family concerns
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers post-procedure
• Perform sheath suturing or removal and apply pressure for hemostasis
• Maintain work area and stock supplies
• Transport patients as needed
• Assist with specialized procedures including SIRT mapping/treatments, embolizations, nephrostomy and biliary tube placements, CT-guided drains, biopsies, ablations, and neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
