MRI Technologist - Cleveland, Ohio

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week, no weekends
  • Work Environment: Level 1 Stroke/Trauma Center
  • Equipment: 5 Siemens MRI machines
  • Experience: Prior Siemens MRI experience required; knowledge of XA Level software preferred

Required Qualifications

  • MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • Prior Siemens MRI experience

Health and Safety Requirements

  • MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years; booster protocol if low titer
  • Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years; booster protocol if low titer
  • Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of full series or partial series with signed declination; positive titers accepted within 15 years
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Preferred but not required; medical or religious exemption allowed
  • Influenza Vaccine: Optional; if declined, masking and specific forms required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
  • Tuberculosis Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
  • Fit Test: Completed within 1 year prior to start; specific respirator models required
  • Physical Exam: Pre-employment physical within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions
  • Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start; instant screens not accepted

Background and Verification

  • Criminal Background Check: Within 6 months prior to start, including social security trace, county searches (7 years), national sex offender registry, and national criminal sweep
  • Ohio Fingerprints: Required; process varies based on length of Ohio residency; attestation allowed if pending
  • OIG Exclusion Check: Within 6 months prior to start
  • SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC Screening: Within 6 months prior to start
  • Employment Verification: Verification of employment within last 5 years through third-party
  • Education Verification: Highest level of education verified through third-party; equivalency required for international education
  • I-9 Verification: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Social Security Trace: If not included in background check, to be completed within 1 year prior to start

Competency and Skills

  • Skills Checklist: Must be completed within 1 year prior to start (clinical skill-specific)
  • Competency Exam: Must score at least 80%, completed within 1 year prior to start
  • Core Competencies: Must score at least 80%, including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within 1 year prior to start
  • Safety and Compliance Training: Completion of required non-employee safety modules prior to clearance; annual renewal required

  • Two professional references within last 2 years
  • Completed job application form
  • Employment history form confirming previous employment at the health system (if applicable)
  • Skills checklist (clinical)
