Radiation Therapist - Radiology

Location: Springfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8 (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, depending on patient load)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: None
Call Requirements: None


Job Description

  • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments using sophisticated equipment and devices.
  • Participate as a member of the Radiation Therapy Treatment Team.
  • Perform duties related to patient setup and imaging for radiation treatments.
  • Treat approximately 65-70 patients per day (inpatient and outpatient).
  • Equipment includes Elekta Versas, Varian HDR, Cyberknife, with new Radixact installation planned.
  • Electronic Medical Records systems used: Mosaiq and EPIC.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Elekta equipment and workflows (can be taught on the job).
  • Works well with others and demonstrates strong communication skills.

Work Environment & Dress Code

  • Scrub color: Black only.
  • Colored scrubs are not acceptable.

Additional Information

  • No float requirements.
  • No weekend or call duties.
  • Facility is recognized for high safety and quality standards, including Level 1 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center certifications.
