Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location
- Lafayette, Indiana
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Weekend work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- No call requirements
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Respiratory Therapy covering ICU, Med Surg, ER, and NICU
- Number of Beds: 160
- Staff: Approximately 28 total; Night shift staffing 4 to 4.5 minimum
- Patient Ratios: RVU system
- Equipment Used: PB vents, Drager V500, Aerogon’s, V60 Bipap, Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula (HHFNC), Hamilton C transport ventilators, Oscillator, Jet ventilators, Nitric oxide delivery
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP
Preferred Attributes
- Ability to manage heavy patient loads and high acuity cases
- Independent, self-motivated, and willing to assist with higher acuity patients
- Comfortable working in a Level 3 NICU environment
Dress Code
- Scrubs color: Pewter Gray
- Adherence to unit dress code policies (specific unacceptable attire not detailed)
