Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on a 36-bed Pulmonary telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1.
• Provide specialized, high-quality care for patients with various lung diseases or injuries.
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
• This is a patient-facing, clinical position (not remote).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
