Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery/Perinatal setting.
- Must have experience in Labor and Delivery/Perinatal care with a focus on high-volume delivery services.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service.
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of current professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
- Verification of nursing license and certifications within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Completion of specialty competency exams and core competencies with minimum passing scores.
- Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
- Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
- Tdap (valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine (optional, with mask requirement if declined during flu season)
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive, annual questionnaire)
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Fit testing for respiratory protection, preferably completed prior to start.
- Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, and National Sex Offender registry.
- Employment and education verifications covering the past seven years.
- Completion of onboarding modules and attestations specific to nursing contingent workers.
Additional Notes
- Driver’s license or state ID must be current and match address requirements.
- Specialty exams and skills checklists must be completed and updated regularly.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
