Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Manage OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care.
- No circulating or scrubbing in the OR.
- Use OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records (experience with these systems highly preferred).
- Provide nursing care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Teach patients and their support persons.
- Document patient care in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) and STABLE certifications.
Additional Information
- Resume and skills checklist (within 1 year) required for application.
- Certifications and Oregon nursing license do not need to be active at time of submission but candidate must be willing to obtain them.
- 16 hours of unbillable overtime paid at 1.25x rate.
- Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract.
Facility Services Overview
- Comprehensive medical services including pediatrics, childbirth and obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, diabetes and kidney disease treatment, geriatric medicine, emergency medicine, and various specialty services.
- Onsite Nurse Practitioner available in Employee Health Department for employees and their dependents.
