Description
Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Grand Blanc, Michigan
Job Summary
- Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
- May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
- Operate and manually control CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
- Prepare procedure rooms, replenish supplies, and ensure sterile equipment is ready.
- Follow radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
- Manage imaging workflow including PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) tasks.
- Document all procedures and clinical information accurately.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- Total weekly hours: 36
Contract Length
- Approximately 14 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist within the last year.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent (GED) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Procedure experience preferred (not mandatory).
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- May work in hospital fixed units or ambulatory mobile units.
- Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; must use proper precautions.
- Possible exposure to contagious patients.
- Occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
