Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel contract in a hospital setting. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging studies including stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, and GI procedures.

Work Schedule

• Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Occasional weekends and holidays required
• Limited call/standby required

Department & Equipment

• Department: Diagnostic Imaging / Radiology - Nuclear Medicine
• Number of scanners/rooms: 3
• Equipment used: GE, Phillips
• EMR/PACS systems: EPIC, McKesson PACS, CVPACS
• Radiologist available in-house
• Use of ARNPs for cardiology studies
• IV starts required
• No floating or coverage of other areas

Caseload

• Average of 12 scans/studies per day

Orientation

• 1 week department-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Active WA state license for Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (N) certification
• NMTCB certification (Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist verification required)
• Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related facility within the past year

• Scrubs are not provided; any professional color is acceptable
• The position involves working in a hospital diagnostic imaging environment with a focus on nuclear medicine procedures
