IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) - North Dakota
Location
- City: Bismarck, ND
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Job Description
- Assist Radiologists during interventional procedures by scrubbing beside and coordinating the room.
- Schedule and code procedures.
- Post-procedure film processing, charting, billing cases, and managing supplies.
- Work primarily in Interventional Radiology with occasional floating to other departments such as CT to assist with procedures.
- Utilize equipment including Electronic EMR (Epic), Sectra PACS, Toshiba IR Machine, and Siemens Ultrasound Unit.
- Work independently on smaller interventional cases and in a two-person team for large angiography cases.
- Call required with evening and weekend rotations (approximately 10 days or less per month).
- Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, approximately 40 hours per week.
- May need to finish cases started late.
- Two fluoroscopy rooms, CT utilization, and two MIS rooms for ultrasound procedures.
- Hospital scrubs provided (ceil blue color).
- Must badge in and out at the facility.
- Local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
- ARRT (R) certification.
- BLS certification.
- North Dakota Medical Imaging Board registration (NDMIRT) — note this takes about 4 weeks to obtain.
- Background check required.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
Additional Information
- If previously worked at this facility, must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
- Orientation includes EMR training, general equipment, and protocol review.
- Call schedule is roughly 2 days per week or less depending on time off.
- Scrubs are provided by the facility.
