MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (20:30 – 07:00, Monday through Thursday)
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Weekend/Holiday: Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • On-Call: Required as needed
  • Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
  • Schedule Flexibility: Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
  • Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
  • Pending License: Accepted
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days off
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay obligation

Required Qualifications

  • MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • MRI Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience with Cerner

Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid Illinois state MRI technologist license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • ARRT-MR certification preferred
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required based on unit/specialty (AHA or RQI acceptable)
  • Primary source verification of state license and certifications required

Health & Compliance Requirements

  • Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace, national criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
  • Fingerprinting must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start (cannot be done out of state)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, DC, APN, FNP, or DO, confirming good physical and mental health and ability to perform job functions
  • Fit mask test required (3M 1860 small/regular, 1870, or 1870+ masks acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30th
  • Annual TB questionnaire required

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references required
  • Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
  • Badge photo required within one week of contract signing (color photo, mid-shoulders up, plain background)
  • Review and sign Code of Conduct within 7 days of contract signing
  • Parking permit required (no cost)
  • Candidate must complete preferred badge name form

  • Scrub color: Any solid color
