Description
Registered Nurse (L&D/OB) - Travel Assignment
Location
- Winslow, Arizona
- Small, rural hospital in Northern Arizona
- Unit type: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) – care from labor through discharge
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other week
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
- Start date: August 11
- Number of openings: 1
- Hospital housing available (optional)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Experience with postpartum, mother-baby care, nursery, and infant stabilization
- Must have experience caring for multiple laboring patients simultaneously
- No high-risk deliveries; all deliveries are 36+ weeks gestation
- Ability to care for infants during and after cesarean sections (infant care only, no circulating)
- Experience managing diabetic and substance use issues in mothers
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Additional Information
- Special care or high-risk infants are transported to other facilities
- Night shift only
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
