Registered Nurse (L&D/OB) - Travel Assignment

Location

• Winslow, Arizona
• Small, rural hospital in Northern Arizona
• Unit type: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) – care from labor through discharge

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other week
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Start date: August 11
• Number of openings: 1
• Hospital housing available (optional)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Experience with postpartum, mother-baby care, nursery, and infant stabilization
• Must have experience caring for multiple laboring patients simultaneously
• No high-risk deliveries; all deliveries are 36+ weeks gestation
• Ability to care for infants during and after cesarean sections (infant care only, no circulating)
• Experience managing diabetic and substance use issues in mothers
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Information

• Special care or high-risk infants are transported to other facilities
• Night shift only
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
