Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU
Location: Howell, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) providing direct patient care during night shift hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Successful completion of the CORE Exam
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
- Immunizations and Tests:
- COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof or approved exemption (valid through October 2026).
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or immunity titer.
- Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start.
- Influenza vaccine (optional).
- Varicella: Proof of vaccination or immunity titer.
- Tdap: Current vaccine or declination if no pediatric interaction.
- TB Test: 2-step PPD or IGRA; if positive, chest X-ray within last year.
- Fit Test: Required for respirator use.
Background and Compliance
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and GSA/OIG reports dated within 30 days.
- Signed forms for code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, integrity and audit services, and patient information security.
- Standard I-9 verification completed by agency.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
Additional Notes
- All required documents and verifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
- No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
- Shift covers overnight hours in a Progressive Care Unit setting.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs seeking a night shift role in a PCU environment with comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
