Description
Ultrasound Technologist (Temp) – General (Days)
Location: Windsor, Vermont
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Provide general ultrasound services including abdominal, aorta screenings, thyroid, breast, venous studies (carotids, upper and lower venous DVT), prostate, lymph nodes, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- No OB beyond first trimester and no pediatric or baby ultrasounds.
- Assist providers with ultrasound procedures.
- Work Monday through Friday with varying hours.
- Must function independently and proficiently.
- Must be able to move and lift patients, equipment, and supplies regularly.
- Must have working knowledge of clinical emergency equipment such as oxygen tanks and suction apparatus.
- Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
- Use Cerner EMR system.
- Dress code: personal scrubs of any color.
- Facility is a 35-bed critical access hospital with trauma level: Critical Access.
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable.
- Strict attendance policy: after 3 call-offs, contract may be terminated; call-offs must be communicated at least 1.5 hours in advance.
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of application; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current ultrasound experience.
- Active American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification (AB, BR, OB/GYN, RVT).
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Must have a current skills checklist for Ultrasound Technologist (within 1 year).
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
- Must have own vehicle for transportation.
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (permanent address required at profile upload).
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months previous travel experience preferred.
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

- Facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
- Located in Windsor, VT, a community with access to outdoor recreation and within a 3-hour drive to Boston, Montreal, and New York.
- Facility includes 25 inpatient medical-surgical beds, a 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, therapeutic pool, physical therapy department, and offers acute care, transitional care, and hospice services.
