Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide nursing care on Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential to float to related units including Emergency Department.
• Rotating shifts: 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm, Night: 7:00pm–7:30am). Shift rotation may be required to meet operational needs.
• Must work at least every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• 1.5 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required. Oncology nurses encouraged to apply; training provided for chemotherapy administration.

Orientation and Training

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; video must be watched before testing).
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation during orientation.
• Modules and badge pickup required before clearance to start.
• Must complete physical and health documentation prior to start.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment.
• Background check including 7-year FCRA-compliant search, education verification, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) required prior to start and updated annually.
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; results required before contract extension.
• State-specific fingerprint attestation required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Employment application with at least 3 years prior work history including 2 years clinical acute care experience in a similar area.
• Annual skills checklist required.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be prepared for variable shifts and floating as needed.
• Facility accommodates latex allergies; notification required to ensure latex-free supplies.
• Candidates with gaps longer than 30 days between assignments may need to repeat certain health screenings and training modules.
• SafeMedicate and ECG competency exams have remediation and retake opportunities if needed.
• Candidates must maintain all certifications and licenses current throughout the assignment.

Work Hours

• 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each).
