Description
CT Technologist
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 9 weeks (61 days)
Shift:
- Monday: 3 PM – 11 PM
- Wednesday: 12 PM – 8 PM
- Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Job Description
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment before patient studies.
- Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician’s orders and prescribed protocols.
- Complete all required department documentation, including logs, manuals, and charge documents.
- Report equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries and activity levels before administration.
- Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
- Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New York (L.R.T)
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- Completion of a Radiologic Technologist program
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
