Location: Brooklyn, New York

Contract Length: 9 weeks (61 days)
Shift:

• Monday: 3 PM – 11 PM
• Wednesday: 12 PM – 8 PM
• Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM

Job Description

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment before patient studies.
• Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician’s orders and prescribed protocols.
• Complete all required department documentation, including logs, manuals, and charge documents.
• Report equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
• Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
• Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries and activity levels before administration.
• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York (L.R.T)
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Completion of a Radiologic Technologist program
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
