Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Contract

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide speech therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Treat approximately 7-8 patients per day, either fully outpatient or a combination of 4 outpatient and 3-4 inpatient.
• Patient diagnoses include post-concussion, CVA (stroke), TBI, head & neck cancer.
• Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center and Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Schedule

• Dayshift: Sunday through Thursday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Potential to float to nearby facilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• CCC-SLP credential required (CCC-A not accepted)

Job Duties & Skills

• Independently perform bedside swallow evaluations and follow-up care
• Conduct communication evaluations and follow-up
• Administer standardized outpatient tests
• Ability to float to other nearby facilities as needed

• Department-specific orientation provided
• Dress code: dark blue or black scrubs (scrub top or other top with scrub pants acceptable)
• Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related facilities within the past year
