Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Employment Type: Clinical Non-Nursing
Shift: Day (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis, ensuring high-quality imaging and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform breast ultrasound exams exclusively, following department protocols.
• Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients for exams.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy; complete studies within acceptable timeframes.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and related information systems.
• Maintain documentation of patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology techs on protocols and procedures.
• Perform vascular procedures as needed.
• Maintain cleaning standards and equipment quality control.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently and communicate effectively.
• Assist with patient transport and equipment handling as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• High School Diploma, GED, or completion of a college-level finance and/or accounting course.
• Experience specifically as a Breast Sonographer.
