Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 09:00 AM – 06:30 PM
- Weekend rotation: Every 4th to 5th weekend
- Full-time equivalent (FTE): 0.9 to 1.0 (36 to 40 hours/week)
- Holiday call rotation required
- On-call: Weeknight call approximately every 1-2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years, including SSN verification and alias checks, dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
- Exclusion screenings: EPLS, OIG, NSO (including statewide checks for Iowa) within 30 days of start
- Signed forms: Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Integrity and Audit Services, Non-Employee Upload Form, System Access Form (completed one week before start)
- Specialty skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
- Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only)
- Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry checks within 30 days prior to start
- OFAC sanctions screening within 30 days of start
Experience
