Description

Registered Nurse - General Surgery

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Unit Overview

  • Fast-paced, 39-bed unit with all-private rooms
  • Provides specialized care for patients undergoing general surgery, ENT procedures, and medical overflow
  • Offers a solid clinical foundation in medical-surgical nursing
  • Team-oriented and supportive environment suitable for both experienced nurses and new graduates

Work Schedule

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
  • Every third weekend and holiday commitments required
  • Floating between units required
  • Medical/Surgical experience required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide age- and culturally-specific patient care and education
  • Effective communication skills with peers and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Commitment to continuing professional growth and maintaining competence
  • Ability to accept and implement change and work in a culturally diverse setting

Specialty Experience

  • Medical/Surgical experience required (no specific years stated)

Additional Information

  • Nursing practice based on principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences
