Description
Registered Nurse - General Surgery
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Unit Overview
- Fast-paced, 39-bed unit with all-private rooms
- Provides specialized care for patients undergoing general surgery, ENT procedures, and medical overflow
- Offers a solid clinical foundation in medical-surgical nursing
- Team-oriented and supportive environment suitable for both experienced nurses and new graduates
Work Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
- Every third weekend and holiday commitments required
- Floating between units required
- Medical/Surgical experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide age- and culturally-specific patient care and education
- Effective communication skills with peers and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Commitment to continuing professional growth and maintaining competence
- Ability to accept and implement change and work in a culturally diverse setting
Specialty Experience
- Medical/Surgical experience required (no specific years stated)
Additional Information
- Nursing practice based on principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences
