Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Medical/Surgical - Telemetry
- Unit: Med/Surg 232
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed
- Patient Population: All ages
- Number of Beds on Unit: 24
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MAB) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Work Environment & Culture
- Professional dress code: scrubs of any color allowed; no casual wear
- Small-town setting with access to larger metropolitan areas (Raleigh, Durham, Research Triangle)
- Local amenities include multiple golf courses and breweries
- Facility is a 137-bed acute care hospital with a broad range of specialties and certifications, including Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center designations
