Description
MRI Technologist - Overnight
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 26 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Schedule: Includes weekday and weekend hours
Call Requirements: None
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted)
Health and Safety Requirements
- N95 Respirator Fit Test within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
- Documentation of TB screening within 3 months prior to start (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
- Physician Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days prior to start and updated if break >6 months
- Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood test)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest X-ray required
Background and Credentialing Requirements
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start and updated if break >6 months
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start and updated if break >6 months
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
- Social Security Number trace as part of background check
- Education verification of highest level achieved
- Submission of a recent color photo (taken within past 6 months, plain background, no filters or eyeglasses)
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the skillset
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions
Additional Notes
- No call requirements
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start
- All credentialing and health documentation must be current and compliant with stated timelines
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documents
This position is suitable for MRI Technologists with ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification seeking overnight shifts in a hospital setting with a long-term assignment commitment.
