    Job Description

    • Perform routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
    • Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
    • Conduct competent patient assessments, monitor patients attentively, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
    • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
    • May perform specific procedures and assist in orienting new staff to the department.

    Shift Details

    • Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
    • No on-call or weekend requirements

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
    • Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
    • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • ARRT (N-Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification
    • California Venipuncture licensure

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including alias and county searches
    • Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screenings
    • Education verification of highest level achieved (not required if high school is highest)
    • Sex offender search within 90 days of start
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work
    • TB screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start or 2-step PPD testing
    • Immunizations: Required documentation or proof of immunity for TDAP, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination during flu season
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start, renewed annually
    • Color blindness exam if applicable (in-person, by licensed provider)
    • References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement only)
    • Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps; employment verification up to 7 years

    Certifications (as applicable)

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – AHA/AAP (Instructor or Advanced Provider Course)
    • CCRN (Critical Care RN)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
    • IV Certification (Venipuncture certification required)
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
    • NIH Stroke Certification
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
    • Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exams as applicable
