Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)
Location
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours weekly)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as required
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Job Description
- Provide quality, compassionate nursing care in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR)
- Circulate during procedures
- Plan, coordinate, and direct nursing care while maintaining professional standards
- Create positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Provide leadership by supervising and supporting team members including LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and other non-licensed staff
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) within the last year
