Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical) - Florida, Panama City
Job Details

- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Night Shift)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and any holiday that falls on a regularly scheduled shift
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Medical/Surgical experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
Professional Documentation
- Resume/Profile required for submission
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
- Signed assignment agreement required for onboarding
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others completed within 30 days of assignment start; updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
- Employment verification for the past seven years, updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
- Education verification relevant to clinical work completed within 90 days of start; must be rerun after breaks in service longer than 90 days
Health & Immunizations
- Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
- Health statement or physical exam completed prior to first assignment and updated annually
- Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Documentation of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite; updated annually)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for tuberculosis within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
- Influenza vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required
- 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required after breaks in service longer than 90 days
Training & Competency
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within one year and updated every 3 years; minimum passing score 80% with only two attempts allowed
- Passing score of at least 80% on Ascension EKG exam; updated every 3 years
- Completion of Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation prior to start
- Completion of Ascension onboarding education attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules for non-allied positions
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed onsite
- Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty completed within one year and updated annually

- Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background, no alterations or filters
- Confirmation of assignment documentation with accurate start and end dates
- Name change documentation if applicable

This is a night-shift, long-term assignment for a Medical/Surgical RN in Panama City, Florida.
