Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Labor & Delivery)
Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Work Environment
- Department: Labor and Delivery
- Number of Beds: 8
- Patient Population: Obstetrics, Nursery, Occasional Gynecology Surgery, Occasional Breast Reduction, Abdominoplasty
- Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN Standards
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: MediTech
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed
- Call Requirements: As Needed
- Float Requirements: As Needed
- Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
- Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no casual wear
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including OB/GYN experience, within the last year
- Experience in charge nurse roles
- Required Certifications prior to start:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Healing Wound Care (HWC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Additional Information
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel
- Professional demeanor and personality fit required
- Facility is a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital serving multiple counties
- The hospital offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services including a birthing center, wound care, and chest pain center
