Description
Cath Lab Technician - Traveler (Long-Term Assignment)
Location: Olympia Fields, Illinois
Shift: Day (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Assist physicians (Cardiologist/Radiologist) by scrubbing procedures and monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular lab procedures.
- Prepare procedure room and maintain adequate instrument and supply levels.
- Participate in staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training of new staff.
- Support all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- ARRT-R certification
- ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Technologist), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive (RCI) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport required for onboarding.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date.
- COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster) or completed declination.
- Immunization or proof of immunity for:
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination)
- Influenza vaccine or declination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- Varicella (vaccination or titer)
- Tdap (declination not accepted in some states)
- TB test within one year of start date and annual TB questionnaire.
- Annual respirator fit test completed prior to start (no on-site fit testing in Illinois).
- Physical/health statement completed annually, stating clearance to work.
- Professional license/certification primary source verification within 30 days of start.
- Badge photo (clear headshot) required for facility identification.
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) or agency attestation.
- Signed current job description (within the year).
- Completion of specialty and core competencies exams with a minimum score of 80%.
- Completion of skills checklist and workplace violence prevention training.
- Onboarding education attestation completed prior to clearance to start.
- Agency attestation form completed after all credentials are uploaded.
