Description
Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology
Location: Marquette, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour day shifts (start times vary between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 40
Unit & Patient Population
- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Number of Beds: 5 Exam Rooms and 1 Specials Room
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Trauma Level: 2
- Equipment Used: GE, Innova
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
Job Responsibilities
- Operate radiology equipment and perform sterile technique
- Scrub for a variety of interventional radiology procedures
- Participate in float assignments including Interventional Pain Clinic
- Call requirements: 1 call night per week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks on a rotational basis (call only on weekends)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
- Radiology experience
- ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology
- Skills in peripheral interventions, biopsies, venous and arterial thrombolysis, EVARs, MMAs, and drainage procedures
Work Environment & Culture
- Facility is a 225-bed specialty care hospital with multiple specialty centers including Heart & Vascular, Cancer, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women’s Health, and Pediatrics
- Willingness to work in various situations and collaborate with different providers and staff is important
- Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs and standard surgical attire
Additional Notes
- Local candidates must live 60 miles or more away to qualify as travel
- Weekend hours are call only
- Floating to Interventional Pain Clinic may be required
