Description
Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform Ultrasound procedures to obtain imaging results according to physician specifications. Responsibilities include patient transfer for examinations and assisting with the Ultrasound examination process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate all Ultrasound Imaging and related equipment appropriately.
- Educate, position, and immobilize patients for Ultrasound procedures.
- Coordinate Ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.
- Follow provider imaging orders accurately.
- Submit required images and clinical information to Radiologists for interpretation.
- Evaluate image quality appropriately.
- Communicate effectively and responsively with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
- Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies properly.
- Practice sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies.
- Manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
- Safely perform Ultrasound procedures including patient transfer.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general and vascular Ultrasound (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast imaging).
- Effective and diplomatic communication skills within a multi-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn relevant applications.
