Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Provide imaging support in the Operating Room, specifically working with vascular Interventional Radiology (IR).
  • Work schedule: Day shift, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
  • Rotating on-call every 4th week.
  • Must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year.
  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.

Experience

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Cath Lab Tech).

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (Tdap after age 11, no exemptions allowed).
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per 2-step PPD protocol or Qgold test (Tspot not accepted).
  • Annual TB questionnaire if past positive TB test.
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; no declinations accepted for measles.
  • Hepatitis B: Positive Hep B Surface Antibody titer required; if low/negative, additional antigen titer required.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or titer required; declination accepted but will not hold clearance.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (no exemptions).
  • Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug screen including marijuana and fentanyl within 2 months of start, updated annually.

Additional Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
  • Professional appearance guidelines must be reviewed and acknowledged.
  • Various facility-specific forms and screenings must be completed prior to start (e.g., release authorization, TB screening, traveler compliance).
  • Fit testing required if patient-facing role; completed onsite if applicable.
