Description

Radiation Therapist (Oncology) – Temp Position

Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8


Job Description

  • Deliver quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments.
  • Perform treatment simulations and fabricate necessary shielding blocks.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Prepare equipment for patient treatments, perform quality control and assurance tests.
  • Ensure proper infection control techniques and adhere to radiation safety and protection practices.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.
  • Follow a strict attendance policy: three absences or late arrivals (over 20 minutes) may result in immediate termination, with exceptions for documented communicable diseases or hospitalizations.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • ARRT (T) certification required.
  • At least 1 year of prior travel experience OR post-graduation work experience with Varian and ARIA systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy systems.

Additional Information

  • Dress code: Scrubs of any color.
  • EMR system used: ARIA.
  • Local travel policy applies for candidates living within 35 miles of the facility.
