Description
Registered Nurse (ICU)
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process and current nursing practices.
- Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards and incidents.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve issues and support professional development.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 3 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
