Description
Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital (Travel/Contract)
Location: Kenosha, Wisconsin
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: June 15
- Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Caseload: 50-75% lymphedema patients
- Treatment Duration: All treatments are 60 minutes
- Patient Population: Outpatient orthopedic with lymphedema experience required; pelvic floor or lymphedema certification allows scheduling those populations as well
- Locals Accepted: Yes (at a lower rate)
- First Time Travelers: Not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Comfortable with or certified in managing a lymphedema treatment caseload
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled, nationwide sex offender check (must be updated annually)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
- Confidentiality statement signed prior to start
- Compliance checklist completed by agency representative
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days of start (marijuana positive not disqualifying)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Notes
- No weekends or holidays required
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, and other certifications are not required for this role unless otherwise specified by the facility for other specialties (not applicable here)
