Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Canton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Perform CT scans and all required functions within the CT department.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform essential job functions.
- Fit Mask: Required within 12 months of start and updated annually (3M 1860 small/regular or 1870+). Not required for Histology Techs, Pathology Assistants, or Medical Technologists.
- Immunizations:
- Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions reviewed case-by-case with physician note).
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start; chest x-ray required if history of positive TB test.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer required; booster required if titers negative/equivocal. Medical exemptions accepted with physician note.
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; booster required if titers negative/equivocal. Medical exemptions accepted with physician note.
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination documented on official immunization records.
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen required, updated annually. Instant drug screens not accepted.
- Flu Vaccine: Seasonal influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 – Mar 31). Declinations not accepted.
Onboarding and Facility Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start; modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome and cannot be skipped.
- Photo ID badge required prior to start.
- Name in facility system must match legal name on documentation.
- Background checks, fingerprinting, and immunizations must be current and compliant before clearance to start.
Additional Notes
- Physical exam does not need annual update if currently on assignment without break.
- Fingerprinting results must be submitted prior to contract extension.
- Travelers with breaks in employment longer than 6 months may need to repeat onboarding modules.
- Modules are assigned approximately 2 weeks prior to start date; timely completion is critical.
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with ARRT certification seeking a travel contract in an acute care radiology setting.
