Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position
Location
- Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights (18:00 - 06:30)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend and call hours as required by facility
- Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire orientation week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Experience working with adult and pediatric patient populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical care experience
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders
- Consult with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness
- Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care
- Perform duties as assigned by the facility
- Float as required by the facility
Unit Information
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Dress code: Black scrubs required; no torn clothes, open-toed shoes, or failure to wear scrubs
This position involves working in a facility with Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center designation and certifications for cardiac and stroke care.
