Description
Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery) - Travel
Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: PM (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts)
Job Summary
- Provide competent nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, demonstrating knowledge of normal growth and development from pediatric to geriatric populations.
- Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments.
- Deliver direct patient care and support the patient care team.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer/body mechanics.
- Individualize patient care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia types.
- Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education, involving patients and families.
- Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
